The location is an absolute win! With a 7-Eleven right downstairs and Ximen Station just around the corner, it's super convenient for exploring. Plus, the shower rooms are surprisingly spacious, and having a lift for luggage was a lifesaver. I also loved that I had my own locker for my valuables - felt much safer!
But oh man, where do I start? The place smelled damp and moldy, and the noise from fellow guests returning late was unbearable! The staff weren't exactly friendly, and I've had better showers without mold all over the place. the common area is way too cramped for everyone they cram in – not the romantic vibe we were hoping for!

The hostel's cozy atmosphere and clean facilities made my short stay enjoyable, while the nearby attractions offered plenty to explore, including the Huaxi Street Night Market.
I found the WiFi connection on the third floor to be rather poor, which made it slightly inconvenient for staying connected during my visit.

I loved the location, as it's very close to the metro and right next to the bustling shopping area. The hotel facilities were excellent, with clean bathrooms and a quaint café area perfect for relaxation. The bunk beds provided privacy with curtains, and the staff was polite, making communication easy despite limited English.
Everything is what I need and want.

I had a wonderful stay overall; the room was spacious, clean, and super comfortable. The location is unbeatable, just a short walk to everything, and while the staff could improve on their friendliness, they were still helpful when I needed assistance.
Food for breakfast could definitely include more variety.

The property is conveniently located near popular attractions, offering a range of services to make my stay comfortable. The nearest airport is also nearby. All necessary facilities are conveniently available.
Oh, how delightful it was to stay in a dormitory with a dining area and air conditioning, where I could even enjoy a lovely view! Not to mention the pleasure of having to cross a huge dorm to reach my room.

The location is perfect for exploring the city, with Ximending and the MRT station just a short walk away. The bathrooms were spacious and always kept clean, and the water pressure in the shower was the best I've seen in a hostel. I also appreciated the quiet atmosphere for a good night's sleep, while still being close to bars and nightlife. The hostel even allowed me to leave my bags there when my check-in and check-out times didn't align. I highly recommend this hostel for backpackers looking for a convenient and comfortable stay.

The shared bathroom at Dan Hostel was perfect for me - it had a nice shower, slippers, and a hairdryer. It felt like a home away from home with all these convenient amenities.
My only gripe was that the shared bathroom only had a shower. But hey, some people might actually prefer that!

I recently stayed at Dan Hostel in Taipei for a few nights and it was one of the nicest hostels I've been to in Asia. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and had privacy curtains, plug-ins, and lamps. The bathrooms and showers were spotlessly clean, and the shower area had plenty of space to hang clothes and get dressed. The location was great, with easy access to the metro, shops, and restaurants. Plus, they had a very large locker where I could fit two carry-on luggages, which is rare and convenient. I had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again.
100% Recommend this hostel.

Great location in a bustling area with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The receptionist was friendly and knowledgeable, providing helpful information about the city.- Clean and comfortable showers with all the necessary amenities.
The dorm room I stayed in was cramped and noisy, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The air-conditioning was constantly on, even in winter, making the room uncomfortably cold for many guests.

the staff there were kind, friendly, and adorable. They made me feel welcome as soon as I checked in at 1900. the hostel had a great environment and a modern layout. the rooms and public spaces were extremely clean and neatly decorated. I loved that they provided free drinking water refill. the location was excellent, just a short walk from Ximen Station Exit 1. It was very easy to find, and there was a 7-11 right downstairs. Plus, there were plenty of great entertainment and shopping places in the Ximending area. the facilities at the hostel were also great, with spacious shower rooms and toilets equipped with basic necessities like shower cream and shampoo. They even provided slippers to be used around the hostel. the presence of a lift made it convenient for travelers with luggage. There were fridges available for storing food, washing machines and dryers, and even hair dryers. Cons: Nothing I didn't like to be fair. 😊.

Fantastic bathrooms, always clean and spacious. Great location for tourists, with easy access to public transportation and popular areas.- Friendly and English-speaking staff.- Good area for working in the lobby.- Option to use the kitchen.- Quiet for a good night's sleep, but still close to bars and nightlife.- Directly across the street from a convenience store.
Lack of social atmosphere, not many backpackers visiting the area. Beds are stiff and thin, could be more comfortable.
